About

I have two dogs that mean everything to me, so I know the importance of creating lasting memories of our pets. Our dog Maverick passed unexpectedly Christmas Eve 2020. I am very grateful I have so many art pieces of him through out our home

Formerly a pharmaceutical representative in the animal health industry, I have a Bachelor of Science with a major in Animal Science and my husband is a veterinarian. We are empty nesters who live in Sioux Falls, SD with our two beautiful Shetland Sheepdogs; Merit and Ryder. My logo is an artistic rendering of my dog Maverick who since has passed and Ryder. I am very active in dog sports such as Rally, Rally Free, and Musical Freestyle.

I strongly believe in continuing education and I strive to be the best in my industry. Towards those goals, I have had professional mentorships with world- renowned pet photographers from both the Chicago and Pittsburgh area and also attended numerous pet photography workshops in various states. I received my Masters in photography in 2019 with the Professional Photographers of America. I am also one of the first 10 photographers to become an Accredited Professional of Animal Imagery photographer in 2021.

I am an active member of the Professional Photographers of South Dakota and the Professional Photographers of America.

Participating in photography competitions is something I truly enjoy and the experience has rewarded me by improving my photography.  2016 was my first year competing in the Professional Photographers of America's International Photographic Competition, where I was named a Silver Medalist.

I am thrilled!! My second year competing in the Professional  Photographers of America's International Photographic Competition, where I was named a Bronze Medalist for 2017.

It was a great year in 2018 for Animal Studio Photography as I was named Bronze Medalist and also earned my Masters of Photography Degree with the Professional Photographers of America.

An other bronze medal for 2019 with the Professional Photographers of America.

2020 missed being a medalist by one image. Went 3/4 with one of my three merited images going onto the prestigious Image excellence category.

It was a FANTASTIC year in 2021 for competition as I was named Gold medalist. Two of my images came in top ten in my district in the animal category. And one of my images came in top 10 in the animal category for the International Print competition and it was nominated for a Grand Imaging award.
